Ocean's Twelve (2004): i know there was a lot of bad hype against the movie, but get over people. you all know you liked the movie. it really wasn't that bad. sure its not as good as the first, but its also not as good as a good night's sleep; doesn't it make it bad though. so much goes on in the movie that it gets a little difficult to keep track of everything, but its all tied up very nicely at the end. good screen time given to each actor (apart from bernie mac's 5 minutes in the movie. disappointed about this.) all in all, a great movie with lots of funny moments and a clever plot. and don't forget i want george clooney to bare my children. buy it.
In the Heat of the Night (1967): just another movie that helps me to keep hating the south, racists, and most events in american history. as far as the plot goes, it becomes a stretch in going along with what is happening and how poitier figures the mystery out. i remember hating the tv show when i'd watch reruns in elementary school, but the movie wasn't half bad. its nothing striking though except for poitier's performance. next to snoop dogg, he is the greatest black actor. don't see it. nothing special.
In Good Company (2005): i found it kind of boring and slow. could have been because i had a lot on my mind at the time of the movie, but it just didn't do anything for me. (spoiler!): i saw little character development between the two main guys and was kind of sad that the two didn't hook up in the end. some movies its okay that the two don't hook up because there is so much deeper stuff going on than having to worry about the little love story, but this was a cut and dry movie. got me thinking about getting old, having kids, my career, and so forth. good acting, but doesn't save the thin plot. don't see.
its the middle of the night and i'm at work pulling a double shift. not happy about this but need the moola for this year's trip, law school crap, and snowboarding. i hope to sleep forever tonight since there actually is not going to be an officer on. basically i just sit here and wait for alarms to go off, which they never do of course. its basically a waste of my time except i get to do homework and watch movies. didn't get anything done today. not a lick of homework. went out to lunch today and just hung out though which was pretty fun actually.
i have sometimes daydreamed a nightmare about what it would be like if the people i love and care about had no recollection of me. its like i wake up one day and i know everyone as i do now, but when i talk to them, no one recognizes me or knows who i am. i try and tell them who i am and give them examples of personal things i know of them, but its no use. its a scary thing actually. seems to be one of the worst things that could happen to me. i'm really rambling right now because i'm so tired. this blog is really childish and high schoolish. i guess i'm okay with that though. i don't look forward to the day when life if routine and i'm just an old man. i guess the drama keeps life interesting now. i hate birthdays. if it wasn't for the presents, i'd try my hardest to forget them altogether.

Ethan, I know you have taken on a lot of heat lately.... but I have to do this
YOUR TASTE IN MOVIES SUCKS!!! Deliverance a bad movie? your dumb. Don't see In Good Company? In Good Company was awesome! The reason you didn't like it was because it hit way to close to home. The entire movie is your life. A young kid hits success way early, gets a divorce, and clings to the first person that gives him a glance.... sound familiar???? The part about buying a nice car (and getting in an accident) ans saying I love you are characteristics of yourself. The only difference between you and the movie is that Topher Grace got a clue and went off and grew up for a while, where you jumped back in the pool again.... Love ya kid, your my best friend..... but that movie is your life... don't get pissy with me cause of this either
keep the blog, ditch the movie critic.... your not good at it =)
difficult to say why i didn't like it. usually i love movies that hit home in my life. just wasn't very captivating. its not the worst movie in the world though. strangely it got two thumbs up, but you should read a few other reviews on it. basically a lot of so-so reviews, so i'm not alone. glad you find my life entertaining too. i should start charging you guys to be my friends. and can anyone else vouch for his claim on deliverance? (anyone under 30 that is) didn't think so. and me? get pissy? never! =)
